Our Vision

GCAP is a global civil society initiative with national networks. The aim of the initiative is to demand government commitment in eradicating poverty and hunger by 2015 as was promised by world leaders at the United Nations Millennium Summit in the year 2000. Our activities will demand for political will and political courage. GCAP is all about calling for action from the world’s leaders to meet their promises to end poverty and inequality.

Some of the GCAP partners in Zambia include Civil Society for Poverty Reduction, Green Living Movement, Churches Health Association Of Zambia, CCJDP, Women for Change, Community For Human Development, Zambia Congress of Trade Unions, Islamic Council of Zambia, Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia, TALC, Oblates of Mary Immaculate, Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection, National Youth Constitutional Assembly, One World Africa, Civil Society Trade Network of Zambia, National Scouts Association of  Zambia, Child Care and Adoption Society, schools, universities, colleges, Zambia National Education Coalition and many more. The campaign will create its visibility and presence through its symbol of the white band. By wearing the white band, you become part of a worldwide campaign that is rallying millions of people around the world to demand that world leaders live up to their promises to end poverty.
